Masters Off-Season Paddling Programs

Off-Season Registration is Open for Masters

Off-Season Paddling Programs registration is now open and is available through the RAMP registration site.

A 'How-to' register with RAMP is available.

Program Details

  • Off-season training program, designed by a certified coach, for Masters athletes (25 yrs+)
  • Includes a strategic balance of weight training, aerobic fitness and paddling technique using canoe/kayak ergometers
  • Coach supervised technical canoe and kayak ergometer training on Saturdays 9:30-10:30.
  • Self-administered training program, designed by a certified coach, is offered Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings
  • PLEASE NOTE: due to construction, erg access will not be available until December 2025. The Masters’ coach will be on-site for personalized strength and flexibility training during the Saturday morning scheduled time for the month of November.

  • Total cost: $205.20 ($180.00 Masters’ program fee and $25.20 HST)

Off-Season Membership

A Banook Canoe Club membership is a prerequisite to registering for programming offered by the club. Annual memberships are available for families and individuals for the period May 1 to April 30. A reduced rate, off-season membership for the 6-month period from November 1 to April 30 has been implemented to support off-season training.

The off-season membership rates are as follows:

Individual: $171.00 ($150.00 membership fee and $21.00 HST)

Family: $273.60 ($240.00 membership fee and $33.60 HST)
