Fall Paddling Programs registration is now open and is available through the RAMP registration site.
We are happy to offer a fall off-season program, as we also begin our long-awaited renovation of Banook Canoe Club. As a result of the renovation, some of our programs will be delivered slightly differently ... see details below!
Be sure to renew or become a member of BCC, before registering for paddle programming.
The fall 2023 off-season Masters paddle program will be offered at Banook Canoe Club from Sept 11 - December 8 (3 months) . This program is designed for adult members (25+ yrs) to cultivate and enjoy a lifelong love for paddling.
Banook Canoe Club offers two options for the Masters athlete:
The training schedule for both options is described within RAMP. Please note, that this fall there will be no Saturday morning Masters practice due to the renovation, resulting in unavailability of equipment and limited space. The program price has been adjusted accordingly in RAMP.
More information on the Masters program please see the Masters Program Page.

Due to the renovation that is starting mid-September, once again BCC’s boats will be stored at Senobe, who has graciously agreed to allow us to use some of their space again this year to hold our on-water practices in the off-season. Sincere thanks to Senobe for their hospitality!
This program is well suited for High Performance athletes who are temporarily based in the area, perhaps for work commitments or to attend post-secondary school, and would like to continue training under guidance of a Head Coach. If you are a member in good standing of another CKC sanctioned club, you are welcome to participate in Banook Canoe Club's High Performance program on a monthly basis. Speak with the Head Coach for more information or review program details in RAMP.
All athletes are required to practice in their assigned group and time.
Happy paddling!
BCC tries to keep the cost of programs as low as possible for its members. The registration fees do not entirely cover the expenses associated with running the programs and the true cost of programming is subsidized by other Club revenue. When we have short term closures of the Club due to COVID, the expenses associated with the programming remain.
For this reason, we are unable to offer refunds or prorated fees for the time the Club is closed. Without the fees paid by athletes for off-season programming we cannot pay our employees, pay the insurance that covers the Club or pay the costs associated with the building itself.
For these reasons, in the event that the club is once again required to close due to COVID, refunds will not be offered and monthly installment payments will still be due on time. We thank you for your understanding.
