Since 2019, the Banook Canoe Club Facility Improvement Committee have been working on a major renovation project for Banook Canoe Club. Banook Canoe Club is approaching 120 years of existence and we would like to see it last another 120 years.

The dedicated volunteers, Phil Brown, Clinton Pinks, Heather Corrigan, Deborah Windsor, David Jarrett, Shaun Lafferty and Geoff Bennett, have been working with ZZap Architecture and Planning company since November 2020 on a design and scope of work to make this happen. An example of one of the design drawings is shown above.

Other investments included in today's announcement were $1.5M to Canoe'22 for finish line tower improvements, $635,000 to Springfield Lake Recreational facility for ball field lights, and $5M to Sport Nova Scotia.
