We are very excited to announce we will be starting the Banook Canoe Club renovation project November 1st! 

The Banook Construction Design Team have worked diligently over the summer and are ready to start construction from November 1, 2022 to June 2023, pause for the summer and finish off any remaining construction in the fall 2023. The gym side will be fully available for use during the entire construction phase of this project. For the summer of 2023 we will be fully operational with as much new hall space available as possible.

After some key structural investigation in September and the help of the Banook Facility Improvement Committee, PINTO Engineering came up with an amazing design with the architect, George Rogers. The Global company WSP, with our strong project management team, will keep our construction project on track.  

Temporary entrances/exits will be constructed and temporary storage containers are being arranged this month to empty out the hall side of the building. Boat storage for members with private boats will be contacted to determine their storage needs. 

There will be more questions but rest assured we will work together to renovate Banook into an amazing paddling/community facility. Stay tuned for our next revitalization project email in two weeks. We appreciate your patience as we work through this construction.
