This weekend, the North American Indigenous Games kicked off in Nova Scotia! A big welcome to the over 5000 athletes from 756+ Indigenous Nations who will be competing.

Banook Canoe Club welcomes all the athletes participating in the North American Indigenous Games to Lake Banook. Our members are excited to watch and cheer on all the races throughout the week. This event will be attracting many spectators, media, and vehicle traffic to the area. Depending on the amount of morning traffic, it may be advisable to plan for some delay in dropping off campers, or use alternative transport to get to the club if possible.
