Banook Canoe Club Shines on the National Stage
We are thrilled to congratulate four of our talented athletes from the Banook Canoe Club who have been named to Team Canada for various international competitions. Anna Archibald, Grace Theunissen, Elizabeth Fanok, and Nolen Mitchell will represent Canada at the highest level, showcasing their skills and dedication to the sport.
Anna Archibald has been selected for the Junior (U18) World Championship Team in Women's Kayak. Grace Theunissen has been named to the Junior (U18) World Championship Team in Women's Canoe and will also compete in the U16 Women Canoe category at the Olympic Hopes Regatta. Elizabeth Fanok will compete in the U17 Women Kayak category at the Olympic Hopes Regatta. Nolen Mitchell will compete in the U16 Men Canoe category at the Olympic Hopes Regatta.
We are incredibly proud of these athletes and their achievements. Their hard work, perseverance, and passion for the sport have earned them this prestigious recognition. We look forward to cheering them on as they take on the world stage and make Canada proud.
