Banook Canoe Club is excited to announce a unique fundraising event that combines fun, friendly competition, and community spirit.
On Saturday, February 1st, the club will host a ping pong tournament, open to players of all skill levels, with all proceeds supporting the Banook Paddles Up Capital Campaign.
This exciting event promises to be an entertaining evening of music, drinks, and table tennis action. The tournament will feature a single-elimination format, with a maximum of 128 participants. Players must be 19 years or older to participate.
We're thrilled to host this event, which will bring our community together for a fun and competitive evening. The funds raised will support our ongoing efforts to improve and expand our facilities, ensuring that we can continue to provide top-notch programs and services for our members and the wider community.
The tournament will take place at Banook Canoe Club, starting at 6:00 pm sharp.
Registration is now open, and players are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot. To participate, please register via this Google Form. A suggested donation of $25 is being managed through the National Sport Trust Fund via this link (make sure to pick Banook from the drop down on that form!!), and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening. All donations will be administered through the National Sport Trust Fund, which will issue charitable donation income tax receipts for all donations over $20.
