June 4 – The Banook Spring Training is full, and registrations are closed. We are excited with the interest this program has generated!
Details on summer programming will be announced later in June. Stay tuned!
Banook just finished two great weeks of our Return to Exercise program! We have learned a lot and have smoothed out most of the wrinkles! We are now able to invite our U12/U14 and older members to get an early start to their summer.
For experienced Paddlers born in 2009 or before, we can offer our modified spring program that follows the Covid-19 protocols required by the Province and ADCKC. The program will start June 8 and go through to June 30th, 2020. We are excited to launch this kick-start to summer programming. We hope to be able to communicate more details on our summer programming later this month.
Please note there are many new rules – Banook is very different as we slowly resume operations. It is extremely important for all paddlers and families to read, understand and follow our COVID-19 protocols. Failure to do so may result in suspension from the program.
The Spring program will consist of:
- 5 practices a week running Monday to Saturday (Please note: there will be no practices on Thursdays)
- on-water training in single boats only (K1 or C1) – there is no crew boat and no war canoe permitted at this time
- Outside dry-land training (the gym and weight room remain closed)
- the actual schedule of each athlete will be chosen to coordinate with social distancing.
The cost for this spring training is $80 (plus HST for paddlers 15 and older).
We only accept e-transfers. Send your payment to: firstname.lastname@example.org
