We need your VOTE!
TOMORROW! - Participatory Vote for District 5

Banook Canoe Club is again competing for HRM capital funds from the Participatory Budgeting by District 5 Councillor Sam Austin. Participatory budgeting allows residents to have a direct say in how money is spent.

Last year, we were successful in receiving community support that allowed us to replace our fire escape stairwell.

This year, our fundraising goal is $5000 to purchase new mini K1s to support our learn to paddle programs, our summer programming for youth and our Paddle All program..

When: Tuesday, Nov. 5th
Time: Anytime between 6:00pm-8:00pm
Where: Findlay Community Centre Gym
Who: All ages in District 5 can vote! It only takes a few minutes

Everyone receives 5 ballots so please vote for all the projects on the lake (our friends at Senobe and MicMac are also looking for funding so please support all 3 paddling clubs with your votes!)
