We’re looking for some great members to help us

This season is off to a fantastic start! Families are enjoying beach, the weekly camps are in full swing, our paddling programs are full of enthusiastic athletes, hundreds attended the new war canoe celebration, our new staff are doing an amazing, and recent club improvements like the new front steps has improved accessibility and safety for all members and visitors. 

So what’s next? That is something we need your help with. Our board of directors will have several vacancies after this season, so here’s your chance to help shape the future of Dartmouth’s oldest canoe club as its 115th birthday approaches. 

Interested club members are invited to attend our September 7th board meeting at BCC,  at 6:30pm, to get an understanding of the various activities and responsibilities the board manages.  

The official call for board of director’s nominations will take place in the week’s ahead, followed by a vote during the annual general meeting on September 21.

Banook Canoe Club

Due to the weather forecast, our annual yard sale fundraiser has been moved to Sunday morning.

We also need a couple of volunteers to load tables and help setup Sunday morning. Donations are still being accepted, and can be dropped early sunday morning at the location below.

See you at the corner of Sinclair and Prince Albert Rd for lots of great deals!

Banook Canoe Club

Atlantic Division CanoeKayak Canada will be hosting a Pleasure Craft Operators License Course on Sunday, May 27th, 2018 from 10am-2pm.

The cost for this course is $40.00 unless you will commit to drive the Officials Boats for a minimum of two regattas this season...It is FREE!

Banook members can also earn volunteer credits through supporting regattas activities on Lake Banook.
